Ceramics can solve the wear and tear problems of blast furnace charging hopper in steel plants
When the blast furnace production from the top of the furnace into the iron ore, coke, slagging agent (limestone),hopper as the main means of transport plays an important role, because the charging hopper loaded with ore, coke, most of the sharp edges with a relatively sharp, wear and scouring of the material car liner serious, at the same time due to the weight of the material car, wire rope, reducer and other large load, very prone to failure, resulting in significant economic losses. Therefore, to improve the service life of the hopper car, it is necessary to solve the problem of scouring resistance, wear resistance and self-weight of the material car liner.


After many experiments, the wear-resistant ceramic lining plate is applied to the blast furnace hopper car with the best effect. The hardness of wear-resistant ceramic liner plate is large, Rockwell hardness is 80-90, which is larger than the hardness of ore, cinder and other minerals; strong wear resistance, the wear resistance is equivalent to 266 times of steel plate.
Pasting process of wear-resistant ceramic liner:
First, use sandblasting gun, angle machine or wire brush to clean the surface to be stuck, so that it shows a metallic luster, the rougher the surface, the cleaner the paste effect is better;
Then clean the surface to be adhered with alcohol to remove surface oil and dirt;
Finally, the adhesive will be evenly matched with a certain ratio, applied to the surface to be pasted, and then the wear-resistant ceramic liner will be pasted one by one, and tapped with a rubber hammer to make it fit closely.
